Herobot is a 2.5D fighting game I am currently working on for my motion capture class. The goal of this project is to have 2 characters fully animated for game play. One character will be player controlled (Herobot), while the other will be AI (Heavy). Herobot is a character that I created and rigged specifically for this game. At the moment, Heavy is the Heavy Crash Test Robot Dummy, from the Crash Test Robot Dummy pack created by Adrian M, on the Unreal Market Place. The game is being created in Unreal Engine 4 and all animations are done with motion capture using Vicon Blade as the raw data capture, and Autodesk MotionBuilder as the re-targeting/cleanup software.
The game takes place in the distant future, where mega corporations rule the world. The corporations create giant robots, called Heavies, to instill feat and enforce their agenda on everyone. Herobot was created by an anonymous engineer, to combat the Heavies and fight for justice.
